GROUP THERAPY
Sometimes I just adore our church’s women group. When we have a younger, less experienced teacher, everyone just jumps in with comments, stories, and suggestions to help her along,
And you learn new things about your fellow sisters; hope, failures, troubles, and successes, as your discussion about gospel truths is strengthened.
Since I’ve been away from church for over a year with the pandemic, it was nice to see old friends and all the wonderful new sisters that have moved in during this rough season. What a tough time to move to a new area, especially one as isolated as ours can get.
And it helps me stop feeling so sorry for myself. All of us are alone – all of us are scared at times – all of us have demons we are fighting. And one of the best ways to fight those demons is to serve and help one another.
I shared the story about Cricket’s wounded knee (wait, wasn’t that a massacre?!), and was approached by about six sisters afterward with equine advice.
It was a good service.
